Church is a 6 year old rescue from Nextdoor (the app). We saw his picture and read his story. He had a troubled beginning to life and was then adopted by a "little old lady" who loved him dearly until she was taken to hospice where Church (then "Sparky") could not go. A neighbor started advertising on Nextdoor looking for a suitable home and we made the cut! Hemingway got a new brother. Church is more like a meerkat or racoon with feline tendencies than a dog. He is mischievous and will chew up leather and expensive shoes if they are left around the house. He doesn't like to be greeted and will warm up if ignored. He gets the "zoomies" often and loves playing in the backyard.
